FUNCTION: Adaptive Reuse

This study is about the Survey and Re-Functioning Course in Spring Term of 2019-2020 academic year.
In this project, which was carried out in the Iznik district of Bursa, the field study was carried out in Konak Square 2nd block as A1 group. It was assigned to the upper floor of the two-floor building. In the first stage, environmental research was made within the scope of survey, measurements were taken on site and technical drawings were made. As a result of the analyzes, the areas that need to be protected and protected have been identified and reported. It was decided to re-function the working block as a hostel and the building was re-designed in accordance with its original form. Firstly, name and brand studies were carried out. Open and semi-open spaces are created within its structure and a project compatible with its environment is aimed.
