FUNCTION: Adaptive Reuse

Within the scope of the Survey and Re-Functioning lesson, the building in the 2nd block in Iznik / Konak Square was surveyed, the interior and the facade were examined and photographed, and a technical drawing sheet was prepared with the information obtained. Based on the technical layout, the areas that need to be changed in the interior and the facade were decided.
In the re-functioning step, a list of needs (workshop area, sales area, exhibition area, sinks, special area for employees, kitchen, relaxation and cafe area), user profile, corporate identity and concept decisions were made within the scope of the task assigned to the A5 group.
The place called ARUSEK aims to show the local women how to display, sell and teach the products made by hand. All designs on the facades and in the interior bring together local products and events in a space designed with modern design. Minimal furniture designs, woods and large glasses reflect comfort and simplicity in the space, while the selected colors are inspired by the products.
