FUNCTION: Adaptive Reuse

In the re-functioning work planned in the 1st Block of Iznik Konak Square, Iznik Nature Sports Center project was planned instead of the commercial functions in the current building. The underwater archaeological museum planned to be built in Iznik was taken as basis. Iznik Nature Sports Center is a multi-faceted project that will appeal to both citizens and tourists.
The basilica, built in the name of St. Neophytos 1500 years ago in Iznik, was considered as the starting point during the project development phase. In addition to this, it is focused on canoeing and diving as nature sports. Thus, new tourism routes were created by focusing on water sports tourism.
