Iznik, which means 'on the walls', comes from the ancient Greek name Nicea. The city has been home to many different cultures for centuries and has become the capital of four empires. From this it feels like traveling through an open-air museum as it passes through the ruins of all the civilizations living here. As the last of these civilizations, the ruins of the Roman, Seljuk and Ottoman Empire are seen in the region. During the Ottoman Empire, the city was completely rebuilt and many mosques, madrasas, caravanserais, baths, etc. The city had an important status in Turkish culture by training many poets and academics. For this reason, the city is called the `` Ulamas House '' (Scholar Place) Ulemas House, a modern place of knowledge is practiced in the Ulema Central Library Library, historical data and historical archives of empires. It will be the center of the new Ulemas, seeking knowledge with modern research equipment and all kinds of books and fresh spaces and for dining places.
