FUNCTION: Adaptive Reuse

As the B4 group, we conducted a survey of 10 shops in block 3 in the project, which was carried out for the reconstruction of Iznik Konak Bazaar for municipal buildings by Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture Department of Interior Architecture and Iznik Municipality Mayor Kağan Mehmet Usta. relevant observations and analyzes were collected. Speaking with the shopkeepers, their needs and expectations were listened to. After the surveying phase, other survey works in the block 3 were combined. Plan sections and views of the entire building number 3 were created. Analytical survey of the project has been completed.

As a B4 group, we created the Iznik Women's Handicraft Center and Workshops project. Based on the history and culture of Iznik, we created the name of the workshop as Antigonai. Antigonai is one of the past names of Iznik.

Marbling and wood painting are done as women's handicrafts in our workshop. We have created our concepts through marbling and wood painting. By creating a need program, areas such as offices, workshops and course classes have been separated. By making changes in the outer landscape of the building, a seating area and cafe have been created. The problems in the exterior and the building were corrected and the building was strengthened.
